Charles Walker II
Young Charles was a son of Old Charles and Seny Walker, husband to Selah, and father to their son Walker. The Walkers labored at Swift Creek and were first mentioned in Zachariah Lamar’s 1832 will, when they and the plantation passed to John B. In 1841, Young Charles, Selah, and Walker were hired out together. It appears that both Young Charles and Selah had passed away by 1859, but Walker is listed as still being at Swift Creek in 1859 alongside his wife Susan and their six children.
