Clarissa Lamar Walker

Clarissa was the daughter of Jenny Lamar, wife of Ellick Walker, and daughter-in-law of Old Charles and Seny Walker. She was born around 1815 and first appears in the historical record in the 1832 will of Zachariah Lamar, when she was bequeathed to Mary Ann. Clarissa and Ellick were the parents of James, Burton, Cassandra, Charles Lucius, Seaborn, Susan, Sabina, Clarissa, Alexander, Isabella, and Jefferson. They all lived at the Hurricane Plantation, putting them in close proximity to Jenny Lamar in Milledgeville. According to the 1880 U.S. Census, Clarissa and Ellick remained in Baldwin County.
