Selah
Wife of “Young” Charles Walker and mother of Walker, Selah labored at Swift Creek Plantation. The Walkers labored at Swift Creek and were first mentioned in Zachariah Lamar’s 1832 will, when they were bequeathed to John B. In 1841, Young Charles, Selah, and Walker were hired out together. It appears that both Young Charles and Selah had passed away by 1859.
